The U Clamp

The uClamp is a useful umbrella attachment device for wheelchair users, and whether it be for rain or sun, it has a host of other applications from holding fishing rods, food trays, to attaching camcorders, for those who may struggle, through physical restriction, to hold these sorts of devices themselves. The uclamp is a two wheel clamp that controls three points of contact, two parallel clamps that sandwich a ratchet control. By coupling this ratchet device with the two clamps and relying on differential tensions levels, the two wheels offer clamp as well as rotational control. It is made from high impact polymer, meaning that it is robust, weather hardy, will not rust, is not toxic and will not lock through oxidation. The uClamp is capable of fixing poles and rods of up to 35mm in diameter, whether round, square or triangular. For more information about the uClamp and it's wider applications, please go to http://www.rayink.co.uk
